Depending on the material, different seam joining techniques are used:

-soft soldering for lead, copper, stainless steel and zinc.

-hard soldering for copper.

-TIG welding for aluminium, steel, stainless steel, copper and brass.

Folding is possible with all the above materials and ensures a thermally induced expansion of the material.
